Know everything about Hair Transplantation

Everybody has an underneath wish to own a charming personality. The magic of even ordinary personality magnifies with shiny, thick and lustrous curls. However this wish is materialized only for a few fortunate folks. But hair transplant in gurgaon is an artificial method to fulfil natural wish of all those who do not have good-looking hair assets. Hair transplantation may be defined as the surgical procedure to handle baldness or hair loss.

Causes of hair fall: Heredity is significantly responsible for the loss of hair among people. An over production of a male hormone known as dihydrotestosterone or DHT harms the hair follicles which thwart required nutrients getting to the hair thereby hindering further growth. There are areas of hair which are known as balding-resistant. They are situated on the back and sides of the head and resemble a fringe or horseshoe pattern, which exists despite of hair loss. These hairs follow their growth cycle in a normal way. These healthy hairs are eliminated in a series of grafts (bunch of hair) and implanted into the bald areas. Later on these new hairs begin to grow naturally. Your scalp is basically divided into two areas:

  1. The donor area- It is the fringe with healthy hair.
  2. The recipient area- It is the bald area which receives the new donor hair.

Mechanism:

There are typically two ways of hair transplantation:

Strip harvesting: Hair and follicles are removed from a donor area. The surgeon harvests a strip of skin from the back of the scalp in an area of good hair growth. He then utilizes very small micro blades or delicate needles to pierce the sites for receiving the grafts, thereby placing them in a prearranged solidity and pattern and angling the wounds in a reliable fashion to promote a sensible hair pattern.

Follicular Unit Extraction or FUE

With FUE harvesting, individual follicular units containing 1 to 4 hairs are eliminated under local anaesthesia. The surgeon then utilizes very small micro blades or delicate needles to pierce the sites for receiving the grafts, thereby placing them in a predetermined density and pattern and angling the wounds in a reliable fashion to promote a sensible hair pattern.

Post-operative care: The susceptible recipient must be protected from the Sun and shampooing must be started two days after the surgery.

Benefits:  Candidates who have healthy hair at the sides and back of the scalp to serve as donor sites. Hair colour, condition and texture are also other important factors. Hair which is placed in the recipient area will not be helpless to the pattern baldness. Rather they will seem and behave in exactly the same way as the hair in the donor area.
